Confirming the absence of the wicket-keeper batsman, BCCI said, KL Rahul, whose availability for the remaining three Test matches depends on fitness, has been ruled out of the third Test against England in Rajkot. Rahul has reached 90 percent fitness and is making good progress under the care of the BCCI medical team. He will continue his recovery process at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru to be fully fit for the fourth and fifth Tests. The men’s selection committee has included Devdutt Padikkal in place of KL Rahul for the third Test starting on February 15, 2024.
