2024 marks the 352nd birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh, the last and the tenth human guru of the Sikhs. Born in Patna, Bihar, Guru Gobind Singh was a warrior, poet, and philosopher whose ideas and teachings are worshipped by the Sikh community.

Guru Gobind Singh was a great personality in Sikhism, known for his teachings on equality, justice, and selflessness. He fought for the rights and dignity of every person, regardless of background, and resisted injustice and oppression.

Guru Gobind Singh is also known for establishing the Khalsa Panth, a group of initiated Sikhs who adhere to a strict code of behaviour. The first five Khalsa members were initiated on Vaisakhi Day in 1699, representing the origin of the Khalsa identity.
